Our post-B’nai Mitzvah students meet twice monthly with our first class on Saturday, September 30th, at the Unitarian church from noon to 1:15 PM. Times and dates of future classes will be determined by the students at our first gathering.
Post-B’nai Mitzvah students participate in a teen program that explores Mussar. Mussar is the study of the 48 middot (values) identified by the Rabbis to help keep our lives in balance. This is an ancient practice that even today will help them in their everyday lives as they become Jewish adults. The students work on creating their own service where they individually and collectively affirm their commitment to their Jewish faith and ideals. The curriculum also involves the study of the Ten Commandments and other mitzvot.
