Shabbat School – Saturdays from 9:45 am to 12:00 pm
Hebrew & Religious School – 1st grade through 5th grades
Our Hebrew and religious school students meet twice a month in person at the Unitarian church and twice a month on Zoom from 9:45 AM to noon. The students attend a Shabbat morning prayer service every Saturday morning we have either in-person or virtual class. In our Hebrew and religious school program, our students work on their Hebrew reading and work to build a milon (a Hebrew dictionary). Students begin to learn our liturgy (the Shabbat morning service) and the meaning behind the prayers. Our Judaica unit covers the history and holidays of our tradition. We also focus on Jewish values like Gimilut hasadim (acts of loving kindness), rachamim (compassion), and hakarat hatov (gratitude), to name a few..
